The nonprofit world has already changed dramatically in 2025. As we find ourselves overwhelmed by the uncharted waters of uncertainty, our team of nonprofit consultants is developing new ways to navigate what lies ahead.
We’re pinpointing which efforts we can do to not just survive, but prosper throughout these challenging months. There’s no better way to start than by putting our heads together, which is why we’re making it a priority to hold conversations with nonprofit leaders across the country. Our new podcast, Elevating Impact, explores what’s working for real nonprofits in real time.
What is Elevating Impact?
In late January 2025, we launched our new nonprofit leadership podcast, Elevating Impact. Our mission of the podcast is to tackle the challenging terrain that nonprofits are facing today. In season one, six nonprofit leaders from across the United States shared their stories of challenges and triumphs, and how they envision their journeys ahead.
Through talking to the nonprofit executive directors on Elevating Impact, we started to notice that these nonprofits shared in common a few strategies that produced effective impact.
The Three Paths to “Stay-bility”
Many nonprofits within the sector are susceptible to vulnerabilities and, in times of uncertainty, such vulnerabilities can threaten your organization’s livelihood. The Harper Consulting Group’s founder Molly Harper has a unique perspective. After spending 20+ years working with nonprofits of all sizes and missions in addition to both public and private entities, Molly is setting out to offer a new, more sturdy framework through which nonprofit organizations can continue to press forward into uncharted territory. This framework is founded upon Three Paths to “Stay-bility.”
Programmatic and Operational Efficiency
Financial Agility
Shared Impact, Advocacy, and Fundraising
From our first conversation of Season 1 of Elevating Impact, our podcast for nonprofits, it was immediately clear that each of these concepts is an important part of nonprofit strategy for organizations in 2025.
Efficiency was top of mind for leaders who were trying to grow their nonprofit organization’s impact. Some of the leaders we spoke with were developing their organization’s financial agility by exploring new revenue streams such as paid training for other organizations in the area. Most of the leaders discussed collaborating with other local organizations to amplify their impact.
How our Nonprofit Leadership Podcast helps guide us forward
When we discuss real-life examples of how our fellow nonprofits have succeeded in navigating challenging terrain, practical tools and strategies to tackle our own problems come to light. There’s a lot that we can all learn by looking at these successes and thinking about how our own organizations might be able to implement them.
With the Three Paths to “Stay-bility” as the framework for our conversations on Elevating Impact, we’re going to continue to build upon how efficiency, financial agility, and shared efforts will enable us to continue to support communities that are in need of help.
